Creating a Better World

Recently, I read an article on how the activists of 1968 harnessed the power of fashion to fight the status quo. Men charging after the ‘American Dream’ were decked out in starched white shirts, dark suits, slim ties and the women, shift dresses and pencil skirts. Meanwhile, activists and the fashion industry were working to propel culture in a different direction with looks that often attached the ‘disapproving eye’.
Today, it’s not uncommon to see the boundaries of fashion challenged. Rather, it’s the norm. Love Over H8 Apparel is a brand that brings quality garments to our tribe; clothing that feels as good as it looks. We also stand for something much greater than ourselves. Our pieces are meant to start a conversation, to create a connection with others, where it’s ok to have tough dialogue about opposing views while being respectful for those who don’t share the same values as the collective. We want to understand the ‘why’s and how’s’ of the world in hope of generating symbiosis, rather than creating a further divide.
